Diakon Adoption & Foster Care will host a free foster and adoptive parent-training program focused on caring for older youths.
The training will be held at 960 Century Drive in Lower Allen Township, with sessions from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 27 and March 13 and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 9 and 23.
“The program is designed for both current foster, adoptive and kinship parents caring for older teens and for prospective foster or adoptive families interested in parenting teens,” says Kathy Roach, Diakon Adoption & Foster Care executive director. “It is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to handle the challenges that often occur when parenting teenagers who face various behavioral concerns.”
