Sept. 16, 12:20—1:10 p.m., Wiestling Student Center. In honor of both Constitution Day and the U.S. women’s national soccer team World Cup victory, join us for a discussion of the Equal Rights Amendment, the gender pay gap, and other questions about gender equity in the U.S. in 2019. The Campus Symposium is a monthly panel discussion of a current controversial issue from a variety of perspectives. Panelists engage in respectful, but often animated, discussion with each other and the audience, which includes both the campus community and the community at large. Symposium discussions are not only an opportunity to think about issues facing society but also an opportunity to practice productive discourse and civil disagreement.
