Farmers on the Square is back outside this week (May 2nd) and we're celebrating our 10th Anniversary this season!
Before our founding, no market had taken place on the Square in downtown Carlisle for 50 years prior. True to tradition, we can be found Wednesdays on the corner of Hanover and High Streets in Downtown Carlisle from 3 to 7 pm, rain or shine.
As Carlisle’s only producers only marketplace, we grow what we sell. Featuring over 20 vendors each week, the market strives to deliver a diverse spread of local products. This year we are welcoming two new vendors, Good Keeper Farm (featuring naturally grown produce) and The Center Cut (selling lamb, rabbit, milk, and more).
A fun and up-beat environment to do weekly shopping, customers will always find fresh seasonal produce, pasture-raised meat, artisan bread and cheeses, preserves, and much more. Other specialty products include homemade baked goods, local honey, ice cream, hard cider, and cut flowers. We are a true local market; with very few exceptions, everything we sell was grown or produced within 50 miles of Carlisle.
This season we invite customers to join us for live music, delicious prepared foods, cooking demos, and kids' activities.
We accept cash, cards, and SNAP benefits (which we double up to $20).We will also be accepting FMNP and Senior FMNP checks this season (which we double up to $10).
