The mission of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. It is our hope that all patients affected by IBD will soon face a world free of Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. These diseases affect as many as 1.6 million Americans, most of whom are diagnosed before age 30. These chronic, life-long conditions can be treated but not cured.
The Take Steps Walk Program is the foundation's largest fundraising event and Take Steps walks take place in nearly 100 local communities across the country. We are hosting our Central PA Take Steps Walk/Festival at Harrisburg City Island on Sunday September 22nd with a goal of raising $80,000. More than 80 cents of every dollar the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation spends goes to research, education, and support services. We hope you will support our mission by getting involved in our Central PA Take Steps Walk!
