Being a caregiver to a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia can leave you with more questions than answers regarding their care. Senior Commons at Powder Mill and area professionals can help you find those answers! Join us for a Caregiver Support Group meeting on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Douglas Fouché, CDAL, CVT, executive director at Senior Commons at Powder Mill, presents an “Introduction into Positive Approach® to Care.” Learn about this concept created by one of America’s leading educators on dementia, Teepa Snow. PAC helps caregivers understand the journey of their loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia by providing techniques to better cope with behaviors commonly associated with the disease. Fouché is a certified validation teacher and PAC certified consultant. Refreshments are available. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association will be accepted.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs appreciated; please call 717-741-0961.
