Being a caregiver to a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia can leave you with more questions than answers regarding their care. Senior Commons at Powder Mill and area professionals can help you find those answers! Join us for a Caregiver Support Group meeting on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 5:30 p.m.
When you think of dementia, what comes to mind? Your first thought may be Alzheimer’s disease. But did you know Alzheimer’s disease is just one of several types of dementia? Learn more about Lewy body dementia from Senior Common’s Memory Care Director, Denise Wible during this month’s caregiver support group discussion on “Questions and Answers on Lewy Body and Other Types of Dementia.” She will share information about the second most common progressive dementia, including symptoms, diagnosis, causes, available treatments, and other helpful resources, as well as different dementia types. Refreshments are available. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association will be accepted.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs appreciated; please call 717-741-0961.
