Founded in 2015, Blue Sky Falls (formerly known as the Juan Catorce band) offers listeners soaring three part harmonies, intricate interplay between instruments, and an evident love for making and sharing their music. Their three songwriters, Brad Rhine, Rob Dunham, and Nate Miller, cowrite and collaborate on new music, building a stable of modern indie pop songs with a spiritual edge.
Brad plays electric guitar and ukulele, and sings lead on most songs. He’s surrounded by fellow vocalists Nate Miller on acoustic guitar and Rob Dunham on keys. With Brad's wife Jen on bass and Jerry Heim on drums providing an unshakeable rhythm section, their sound is constantly evolving.
Their sound, according to their website, sounds like if Barenaked Ladies and Fountains of Wayne had a baby, and that baby grew up listening to Ben Folds.
Blue Sky Falls released their self-titled first EP in the summer of 2016.
They will be at the cafe on Saturday, August 12. Doors open at 7:00pm, and the music starts at 7:30pm.
Admission to the event is free. Emmaus Road Cafe offers coffee drinks, Italian sodas and baked goods for sale. The cafe is located at 1886 Lincoln Highway East in Lancaster. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or at 717-478-3672.
